A Difficult pregnancy

I was blessed with an uncomplicated pregnancy, and it still is until now.

But I've been hit with a different complication. A complication of marriage?

On the 16th of October, my husband came back and at night he said the words no married woman wanted to hear : I don't know if I love you anymore.

It's been 3 weeks and we are still in limbo. Or at least I am.

We've since talked and I found out that he has been feeling low for a long time. Feeling depressed, maybe. I haven't noticed. How could I not notice?

Being pregnant and going through this difficult patch is hell. I'm already so emotional, and I don't think I have the strength to go through this at the same time. We are in his hometown and tonight, we went to dinner with his friends. I saw the same person I've loved for the past 10 years, but as soon as we get in the car - I see the person I've been seeing for the past 3 weeks. He doesn't talk to me. We were quiet the whole way back to the hotel.

I think back to the time 2 years ago, when we first got married. When I first met his friends. He would have asked me, how as the food? Did you like the green curry? I'm sorry we ordered the xx, I know you don't eat it. How did you like my friends?

He would have cared.

I'm worried about him, of course. I've asked numerous times to go to couples counselling or at least for him to visit a psychiatrist to get evaluated. Maybe it's not depression, maybe it's just an adjustment disorder. But he refuses. And he doesn't talk.

How do you prepare yourself to be a (possibly) single mother after 10 years together? Because I have to think of my little unborn baby first now.
